• What exactly does EduCounsel do?

  EduCounsel is a workforce and talent solutions firm. We help organizations hire the people they need, build the HR and operational systems that keep those people, and create the education-to-employment pipelines that supply the next wave. That runs from a single executive search through to a fully managed workforce partnership.

• Who do you work with?

  Schools, colleges and universities, healthcare providers, behavioral health organizations, technology companies, nonprofits, and government and workforce agencies. Individuals work with us too, through career coaching, resume writing, interview preparation and job search support.

• Do you only work in Maryland?

  No. EduCounsel is based in Bowie, Maryland and works virtually with clients across the country. Our leadership has run workforce strategy across fourteen states and fourteen behavioral health centers.

• Are you a staffing agency or a consulting firm?

  Both, by design. Most firms do recruiting, or HR, or training. EduCounsel integrates workforce strategy, talent acquisition, HR consulting, training, compliance and operations so a client is not stitching four vendors together to solve one workforce problem.

• What makes you different in behavioral health?

  We have operated inside these programs, not just recruited for them. That includes OMHC, PRP, IOP and OP, Supported Employment and Health Home service lines, along with policy development, accreditation preparation and support through multiple CARF survey cycles.

• How do engagements start?

  With a consultation. You book a time, describe the problem, and we come back with an assessment and a plan that names the approach, the owners and the measures of success. From there you can take a single project, ongoing support or a managed partnership.

• Can you support a small organization, or do you only work with large ones?

  Both. Fractional HR support and HR On-Call exist precisely so a growing organization can reach experienced HR leadership without carrying a full-time HR executive.

• Do you help individuals as well as employers?

  Yes. Career Services & Placement covers resume writing, career coaching, interview preparation, LinkedIn optimization, job search support, outplacement and workforce readiness, for students, graduates, career changers and working professionals.
